INSPIRASI PERUPA BATIK DALAM BERKARYA (Studi Kasus pada Batik Kontemporer)

Abstract

Inspiration is a brainstorm that appears from the spark of creative ideas in its own time and place which is rarely recognizably excepted for the people who have been a soul that are accustomed to training by their selves. This can be done well by the designers based on their expertise. The ability of batik designers who have been trained and experienced in inspiring the inspiration will be, it may influence on the artist of produced batik. In this study, data collection methods used descriptive qualitative method with a semi-structured interview approach because it assumed the implied information which told about the inspiration on their soul of batik artists. The inspiration cannot be determined based on where it will be created, but it can be the first step in the creation of contemporary batik design and contemporary batik artwork that has been formed. For the designers, the process of inspiration is the beginning of dialogue, discovery, and ability of the development process in the process of thinking and working of batik art. All of the visible visuals can be a source of inspiration. Sometimes, the invisible visuals can be a source of inspiration too. The source of inspiration comes at the beginning of the design process and works along with the batik design process. Inspiration defines the design results according to batik designers. What is often assumed as an art inspiration is a fact of an important part of the design process. The methods for inspiring sensitivity and ideas can be done by reading, observing, lateral thinking, socializing, discussing, and brainstorming. AbstrakInspirasi merupakan ilham yang hadir dalam bentuk percikan ide-ide kreatif pada waktu dan tempatnya tersendiri, yang jarang dikenali kecuali yang memiliki jiwa yang sudah terbiasa dengan melatih dirinya. Hal ini, dapat dilakukan dengan baik oleh Perupa dibidangnya. Kemampuan Perupa batik yang telah terlatih dan berpengalaman dalam mengilhami inspirasi yang hadir, berpengaruh terhadap karya batik yang dihasilkan. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini mengguakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan wawancara semi terstruktur karena bersifat menyingkap hal yang bersifat tersirat, yaitu inspirasi dalam diri Perupa batik. Inspirasi tidak dapat ditentukan dimana akan tercipta, tetapi inpirasi sebagai langkah awal terciptanya karya batik kontemporer sampai karya seni batik kontemporer itu sendiri telah terbentuk. Bagi para Perupa proses inspirasi merupakan awal mula membuka dialog, penemuan dan proses pengembangan kemampuan dalam proses berpikir dan berkarya seni batik. Semua visual yang terlihat dapat menjadi sumber inspirasi. Beberapa hal yang tidak terlihatpun dapat menjadi sumber inspirasi. Sumber inspirasi datang pada awal proses karya, dan bekerja disepanjang proses karya batik. Insprasi mendefinisikan hasil karya dari Perupa batik. Apa yang sering dianggap sebagai inspirasi seni merupakan fakta bagian penting dari proses dalam karya. Metode untuk kepekaan inspirasi dan ide dapat dilakukan dengan membaca, observasi,  berpikir lateral, serta bersosialisasi dan berdiskusi serta curah gagasan.
