KEBERADAAN MASYARAKAT KEREK SEBAGAI PENGHASIL KAIN TENUN GEDOG TUBAN

Masyarakat Kerek adalah penghasil tenun gedog khas Tuban. Keberadaannya merupakan kunci dari keberhasilan kebudayaan bertenun dan berswasembada sandang tradisional di Tuban. Bagaimana keberadaan masyarakat Kerek sebagai penghasil kain tenun gedog Tuban?. Melalui metode etnografi dan pendekatan antropologi akan menemukan data yang terkait dengan keberadaan masyarakat Kerek dengan analisis deskriptif. Sejarah mengungkapkan perjalanan kronologi masyarakat jaman dahulu hingga saat ini. Masyarakat sebagai pelaku akan memberikan data berdasarkan sudut pandangnya sebagai pemilik kebudayaan (emik). Lingkungan sekitar sebagai batas area atau wilayah sebagai lokasi kebudayaan masyarakat, yaitu Kecamatan Kerek. Mengungkap perjalanan sejarah, kondisi masyarakat, dan kondisi lingkungan akan mengetahui keberadaan ayarakat sebagai penghasil kain tenun gedog Tuban.
Kata kunci: sejarah, masyarakat, lingkungan, keberadaan.
ABSTRACT
The community of Kerek is a producer of Tuban weed gedog. Its existence is the key to the success of traditional weaving and self-sufficient culture in Tuban. How the existence of Kerek community as a producer of Tuban gedog fabric?. Through ethnographic methods and anthropological approach will find data related to the existence of Kerek society with descriptive analysis. History reveals the chronological journey of ancient society to this day. The community as the perpetrator will provide data based on his point of view as the owner of culture (emik). The surrounding environment as a boundary area or region as a cultural location of the community, namely District Kerek. Revealing the history, society conditions, and environmental conditions will know the existence of a community as a producer of Tuban gedog fabric.
