ABSTRAKPenelitian ini mengambil subyek tentang perusahaan batik tulis Sumbersari, yang berlokasi di Desa Sumbersari, Kecamatan Maesan, Kabupaten Bondowoso. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perusahaan batik tulis Sumbersari merupakan salah satu perusahaan batik tulis yang awal berdiri di Kabupaten Bondowoso, perusahaan tersebut didirikan oleh Lilik Soewondo (alm) pada tahun 1985. Proses pembuatan batik Sumbersari pada dasarnya secara teknis sama dengan pembuatan batik pada umumnya. Namun demikian terdapat beberapa perbedaan diantaranya adalah alat-alat pendukung yang digunakan seperti tidak digunakannya canting tembokan dan gawangan. Ciri khas batik tulis Sumbersari terdapat pada motif dan warna yang digunakan, yaitu berupa motif daun singkong dan daun tembakau sebagai unsur utama motif. Warna yang digunakan didominasi oleh warna kontras, yaitu perpaduan antara warna panas dan warna dingin. Warna panas diwakili warna merah, kuning dan orange, sedangkan warna dingin diwakili oleh warna hijau, dan biru.

- Abstract
- This study takes the subject of the Sumbersari batik company, which is located in Sumbersari Village, Maesan District, Bondowoso Regency. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The results showed that the Sumbersari batik company was one of the batik companies that was originally established in Bondowoso Regency, the company was founded by Lilik Soewondo (late) in 1985. The process of making Sumbersari batik is technically the same as making batik in general. However, there are some differences, including the supporting tools used, such as not using canting walls and barriers. The characteristic of Sumbersari batik is found in the motifs and colors used, namely in the form of cassava leaves and tobacco leaves as the main elements of the motif. The colors used are dominated by contrasting colors, which are a mix of hot and cold colors. Hot colors are represented by red, yellow and orange, while cool colors are represented by green and blue.
