DESAIN MEJA KONSOL (CONSOLE TABLE) DENGAN EKSPLORASI BENTUK ANTURIUM DAUN GELOMBANG CINTA

Berawal dari banyaknya permasalahan desain mebel khususnya di ruang tamu yang monoton dan juga permasalahan barang rumah tangga yang kurang pas pada penempatannya, Berbagai cara dilakukan untuk menambah solusi yang tepat mengisi elemen dekoratif ruang tamu sehingga menambah estetika di dalam ruangan. Hal tersebut mendorong penulis untuk menciptakan desain meja konsol yang bertujuan untuk memecahkan solusi menyimpan barang kebutuhan rumah tangga khususnya di dalam ruangan. Selain itu nilai estetika di dalam ruangan tampak elegan dan tidak membosankan. Desain meja konsol ini bertemakan tanaman hias anturium daun gelombang cinta. Bahan utama pada purwarupa karya ini adalah kayu trembesi dan kaca serta pendukungan teknik pengerjaan pertukangan (kerja bangku), dan teknik pemahatan (ukir). Penulis memilih finishing bakar erosi dan finishing cat duco. Penciptaan tugas akhir ini menggunakan pendekatan estetik Kajian Teori Dharsono dalam Hukum penyusunan (asas desain) yang menjelaskan 4 penyusunan meliputi: a) Kesatuan (unity),  b) Keseimbangan (balance), c) Formal balance (keseimbangan formal), d) Informal balance (keseimbangan infomal). Metode penciptaan dalam tugas akhir ini menggunakan pendapat Dharsono 4 tahap meliputi: Seniman/desainer, Subject matter, Karya seni (desain), Objek. Hasil karya tugas akhir ini meliputi: purwarupa 1 dengan judul “Kaendahan” dan purwarupa 2 dengan judul “Adem Ayem”.

ABSTRACT

Starting from the many problem in furniture design especially in the monotonous living room and also the problem of household items that do not fit properly in their placement, various ways are done to add the right solution to fill the dekorative elements of the living room so as to add to the aesthetics insideroom. This encourages the aut hor to create a console table design that aims to solve solutions for storing household items, especially in the room. Besides the aesthetic value in the room looks elegan and not boring. This console table design is themed ornamental plant anturium leaves wave of love. The main materials for this prototype are tamarind wood and glass, as well as supporting techniques for carpentry work (bench work), and carving techniques (carving). The aut hor chooses erosion burn finishing and Duco paint finishing. The creation of this final projectuses an aesthetic approach Dharsono’s Theory Study in the law of preparation (design principles) which explains 4 arrangements include: a) Unity, b) Balance, c) Formal balance, d) Informal balance. The method of creation in this final project uses Dharsono’s opini in 4 stages including: Artist/designer, Subject matter, Artwork (design), Object. The results of this final project include: prototype 1 with the title “ Kaendahan” and prototype 2 with the title “Adem Ayem”.
