AbstractThe development of information technologies gives opportunities to promote village tourism and increase its potential to prospective customers. To realize this perspective, the Kembangsari village Karang Taruna (local youth organization), together with Indonesian Institute of Art Surakarta through its thematic community service (Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Tematik) program, held a workshop to train the Kembangsari village youth to develop their village information and promotion online system. The workshop objective was to develop the Kembangsari village profile visualisation and to launch a village website. This was achieved through development of a photostory, softnews program and website design trainings. The training outputs provide support to the Kembangsari village government plan to develop Kembangsari as a tourism village in 2019.
