DEO KAYANGAN: DARI RITUAL PENGOBATAN MENJADI HIBURAN MASYARAKAT TEBING TINGGI OKURA KECAMATAN RUMBAI PESISIR DI PEKANBARU

Abstrak Deo Kayangan merupakanritual pengobatan penyakit yang disebabkan oleh kekuatan gaib. Ritual ini ada di Kelurahan Tebing Tinggi Okura, Kecamatan Rumbai Pesisir, Kota Pekanbaru, Provinsi Riau. Ritual tersebut dipimpin oleh seorang dukun Melayubernama Tuk Damai.Tuk Damai diminta olehmasyarakat untuk menjadikanritualtersebut sebagai tontonan dengan membuat imitasi Deo Kayangan yang diberi nama Badeo.Fenomena Deo Kayangan sebagai tontonan ini merupakan permintaan masyarakat agar bisa ditampilkan Deo Kayangan tersebut sebagai hiburan. Untuk mencapai harapan itu, proses sekularisasi menjadi pilihan bersama. Deo Kayangan sebagai ritual pengobatan tetap pada hakekatnya sebagai pengobatan dan di pertunjukkan pada saat manusia membutuhkan pengobatan jika si sakit membutuhkan pertolongan yang dilengkapi dengan berbagai persyaratan yang telah ditentukan, seperti kelengkapan sesaji dan keperluan lainnya. Sementara imitasi Deo Kayangan dibuat untuk tujuanpertunjukan sekuler sebagai tontonandan hiburan masyarakat, demikian pula untuk para wisatawan. Kronologi dari ritual menjadi tontonan, tidak terlepas dari tujuanpemerintah yang ingin manjadikan Desa Tebing Tinggi Okura sebagai desa wisata. Oleh karena itu, masyarakat antusias dalam menyambut proprgam tersebut, dengan menggali potensi desanya.Kata kunci: Deo Kayangan, Badeo, Faktor. Abstract Deo Kayanganis a healing ritual performed to cure illnesses that are caused by supernatu- ral powers. This ritual is found in Tebing Tinggi Okura, in the Rumbai Pesisir District of Pekanbaru, in the Riau Province. The ritual is conducted by a Malay shaman known as Tuk Damai who in recent times has been asked by the local community to turn the ritual into a form of entertainment by creating an imitation of Deo Kayangan known as Badeo. The phenomenon of Deo Kayangan as a form of entertainment is the result of this request by the community. In order to achieve this new form, the community agreed on a process of secularization. DeoKayangan as a healing ritual retains its true nature as a healing medium and is performed for the purpose of  healing a sick person, complete with various predetermined requirements such as offerings and other elements. The imitation of DeoKayangan, on the other hand, is designed as a secular per- formance and a form of entertainment for members of the local community and for tourists. The chronology of the process through which the ritual became a form of entertainment is also tied to the goal of the local government to make the village of TebingTinggi Okura a tourist destination. Therefore, the local community have welcomed the program enthusiastically by exploring the potential of their village.Keywords: DeoKayangan, Badeo, Factor.Downloads
