DRAMA TARI ARJUNA WIWAHA KARYA S. MARIDI MAESTRO TARI TRADISI KARATON GAYA SURAKARTA SEBUAH KAJIAN ESTETIK

Abstrak
Penelitian ini mengungkap dan mengidentifikasi estetika atau keindahan “Drama Tari Arjuna Wiwaha†dengan titik perhatian pada analisis unsur-unsur tari dan bentuk hubungan sebagai pembentuk keindahan tari.Oleh karena itu dipaparkan diskripsi drama tari Arjuna Wiwaha secara rinci pada notasi balungan musik tarinya sehingga tempo, laya, pemangku
irama maupun rasa gendhing dan pola kendhangan yang berhubungan dengan rasa gerak tari dapat diidentifikasi sehingga kesan harmoni /selaras muncul dalam koreografi drama tari Arjuna Wiwaha tersebut. Analisi estetik ini juga didasarkan pada konsep estetik kepenarian
tari tradisi Jawa gaya Surakarta, baik teknik maupun rasa sebagai koridornya. Konsep tersebut meliputi pacak, pancat, lalut, luwes, ulat, wiled, irama, dan gendhing yang kemudiandikenal dengan konsep Hastha Sawanda. Hasil penelitian ini setidaknya dapat memberikan kontribusi untuk analisis estetis tari gaya Surakarta khususnya, yang juga tidak menutup kemungkinan untuk gaya tari yang lain.
Kata Kunci: Arjuna Wiwaha, gendhing, dan Estetik.
Abstract
This writting will disclose and identify the aesthetics of Arjuna Wiwaha dance by aplying a special attention to the analysis of dance’s elements and the relations of one element to the others. The notation patterns of the music of the dance were described in detail so that it was
posible to identify the tempo,laya,rhythm,musical taste and the pattern of kendangan mungkus.
The result is that we know the choreography of Arjuna Wiwaha dance has a harmonious impression.
This aesthetic analysis was based on the aesthetic concept of Javanese traditional dancing of
Surakarta style,both the technique and its taste. The concept covers pacak,pancat, lulut, luwes,
ulat, wiled, rhythmand gendhing which are known as hastha sawanda. This writing at least can
make a contribution to the aesthetic analysis on dance of Surakarta style and possibly other styles.
