Abstract
Â
“Drubiksa Darubeksi†is a dance work by Nuryanto which is performed as a positive response to the phenomenon of global warming that we are currently experiencing. “Drubiksa†means evil and “darubeksi†means poison. This work portrays the cruelty of humankind which has produced numerous natural disasters that have caused global warming. This work shows contextually the reality we are now facing. For this reason, ananthropocosmic mind (man as a part of nature) is the key for taking care of nature, to avoid the kind of anthropocentrism through whichman will conquer nature. A work of art is part of an anthropocosmic mind. Art tell us a story in botha verbal and nonverbal way. Because of its sensitivity and its way of shaping of knowledge, art has the ability to build a conversation with nature. This is the spirit of “Drubiksa Darubeksiâ€
