About the Journal
Focus and Scope
The main focus of the journal will be to promote a global discussion forum and an interdisciplinary exchange among scholars exploring the topic of TV program, film or cinematography, animation, and photography from different perspectives.
Series will encourage innovation and research, contributing to a better understanding of the narrative, technological, economic, social and cultural impact of TV program, film, animation, and photography. To this end, some areas of interest will be:
- Narrative analysis of specific phenomena, with a focus on innovative television program;
- Studies on the influence and/or connection of TV, film, animation, and photography driven by social technologies;
- Analysis of TV program, film, animation, and photography as capable of advancing aesthetic thought;
- Study of the relationship between technology and creativity in the TV, film, animation, and photography;
- Studies on the economic and innovative formulas in terms of production chain and marketing strategies for TV, film, animation, and photography;
- The impact and significance of TV, film, animation, and photography from a political, ethnological, or educational perspective;
- Historical approach in terms of media history in order to locate and identify influences on TV program, film, animation, and photography;
- Studies on the evolution and characteristics of the phenomenon of TV program, film, animation, and photography in different geographical areas;
- Analyses and studies focusing on audiences, artists, or producers.
Peer Review Process
he review process combines a double blind reviewing and an open reviewing.
The editors will assess whether the submission is eligible for review. After this formal assessment, if positive, the submission will be sent to two external referees.
Based on the review reports the editors will make one of the following decisions:
- The submission is rejected. In this case, a written explanation will be provided.
- The submission is rejected in its current state. In this case, the author will have the opportunity to re-submit the paper, taking into account the comments of the referees and the editor. When the submission is rejected in its current state (B) and the author wants to improve the paper, the editor assigned to that paper will support the author.
- The submission is accepted.
The accepted papers can be published in the blog of the journal for an open reviewing process. The aim of this second reviewing is to promote the improvement of the contents to be published in the journal. The editors will work with the authors and discuss the results of the open review process.
The whole review process will take not more than six months.
Editorial, Interviews and Book Reviews will not be peer reviewed.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Policy of Screening for Plagiarism
PLAGIARISM POLICY
CAPTURE : Jurnal Seni Media Rekam has a high commitment to anti-plagiarism.
Each manuscript submitted to CAPTURE : Jurnal Seni Media Rekam will be first checked by
members of the editorial team and screened using the TURNITIN plagiarism detector.
The screening process will be conducted by Editor once the manuscript is received.
The manuscript are required of less than 15% quality. CAPTURE : Jurnal Seni Media Rekam will
reject papers that lead to plagiarism or self-plagiarism.
The Editorial Board of CAPTURE : Jurnal Seni Media Rekam recognizes that plagiarism is not
acceptable and therefore establishes a strict policy against plagiarism.
Definition
Plagiarism is someone else's ideas or words as if they were your own, without permission,
credit, or acknowledgment, or for not properly citing the source.
Plagiarism can take a variety of forms, from copying them literally to paraphrasing someone
else's work.
Policy
Manuscript must be original, unpublished and not pending publication elsewhere.
Any text in excess of fair use standards or any graphic material reproduced from another source
requires permission from the copyright owner, original author, or source search.
When plagiarism in a paper is identified, the Editor in Chief is responsible for reviewing the
manuscript and will approve action according to the level of plagiarism. Authors who have
committed plagiarism will take action by referring to the following guidelines:
- Minor: A short portion of another manuscript was plagiarized without any significant data orideas being taken; Action: A notification given to the author and conveyed to change the textand citations that really match the original article.
- Intermediate: Most of the other manuscript are plagiarized without a proper citation to theoriginal article; Action: The article is rejected and the author is prohibited from submitting another article for one year.
- Severe: Most of the other manuscript are plagiarized by reproducing results or ideas; Action:The paper is rejected and the author is prohibited from submitting another article for five years.
- This action needs to be given to violators, because the author is responsible for the contents ofthe submitted manuscript, especially they already signed the Copyright Declaration Form as acondition for sending the manuscript.
Journal History
CAPTURE is an art scientific journal that publishes the results of research, art creation or artistic research, and theoretical studies in the field of recording media art. The focus and scope of the journal consists of the fields of film, television, photography, animation and new media arts.
CAPTURE is published twice a year, in July and December. Admitted and published articles can be freely accessed on this website.
CAPTURE: Jurnal Seni Media Rekam was first published in 2009 along with the establishment of a new faculty at Institut Seni Indonesia (ISI) Surakarta, namely Fakultas Seni Rupa dan Desain (FSRD). CAPTURE : Jurnal Seni Media Rekam was established with the print ISSN number 2086-308X, then in 2013 it obtained the electronic ISSN number 2338-428X.
CAPTURE : Jurnal Seni Media Rekam has been indexed both at national and international including GARUDA (2016), Google Scholar (2016), ISJD (2016), SINTA (2018), Crossref (2018), and Dimensions (2021) .
The journal has been accredited by the Ministry of Research Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia. CAPTURE: Jurnal Seni Media Rekam has obtained Rank 4 Accreditation – Sinta 4 (SK No. 21/E/KPT/2018) and Rank 3 Accreditation – Sinta 3 (SK No. 36/E/KPT/2019).
