Visualisasi Generasi Sandwich melalui Mise En Scene Tokoh Kaluna dalam Film Home Sweet Loan

Abstract

Generasi sandwich merujuk pada individu yang terjepit di antara dua generasi. Fenomena sosial ini menimbulkan beban multidimensi, baik finansial, emosional, maupun psikologis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan visualisasi generasi sandwich melalui analisis tiga elemen mise en scene tokoh Kaluna dalam film Home Sweet Loan. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, studi ini mengkaji empat aspek utama yang dialami Kaluna: beban finansial ganda, tekanan emosional, impian pribadi, dan keterlibatan dalam perawatan lintas generasi. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi terstruktur terhadap elemen visual film dan studi pustaka, dengan purposive sampling untuk memilih adegan kunci. Hasil penelitian mengungkap bahwa film ini secara efektif memvisualisasikan kompleksitas generasi sandwich melalui karakter Kaluna, khususnya dalam konflik antara tanggung jawab keluarga dan aspirasi pribadi. Analisis mise en scene melalui setting, pergerakan pemain dan tata rias busana memperkuat representasi beban emosional dan finansial yang dihadapi.
