Journal History

Runtas: Jurnal Fesyen dan Wastra Nusantara was established in 2023 as a scientific publication forum focuses on the field of fashion and wastra nusantara (Indonesia). This journal aims to bridge academics, researchers, designers, and practitioners in sharing the results of research and the latest creative works that are relevant to the development of fashion and the richness of traditional Indonesian textiles. To maintain the quality of publication and a more optimal editorial process, this journal published twice a year, namely every June and December.

Currently, Jurnal Runtas is led by Danissa Dyah Oktaviani, S.Sn., M.Sn. as Editor-in-Chief. Under her leadership, this journal is committed to continuously improving the quality of publications and expanding its international reach. One of the strategic steps taken is to open up opportunities for submitting articles in English, so that the articles published can be accessed and recognized globally.

Jurnal Runtas continues to develop as an academic platform that encourages the exchange of innovative ideas as well as the preservation and development of Indonesian textiles through a scientific and creative approach.
